The following policies have been
established so Ladore Conference Center may operate in a safe and efficient
manner for the enjoyment and comfort of our guests. The staff at Ladore will be
at your service to ensure you of a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00
am. If an emergency occurs, delaying your arrival or departure time, please
contact our Resident Host for an alternative arrangement, at (570) 488-7043, or
extension 1165.
- Smoking is not permitted on the Ladore Campus.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on the Ladore Campus. We
appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
- Rooms are to be occupied by married couples or
persons of the same gender only.
- We kindly request that no food be taken out of the
dining room or game room area. Your cooperation in this way will help us
maintain the cleanliness of our lobby, lounges and bedrooms.
- Our game room and TV lounges are open for your
enjoyment. We kindly request that proper chaperons accompany any young person in
your group who may be using these areas. Should there be excessive damage to nay
of our equipment or living areas, your group will be expected to cover the full
cost for repair and/or replacement. The Game Room will be closed during chapel
hours.
- 11:00 PM is the established hour of 'quiet time'
at Ladore Lodge. We ask that all members of your group please observe this quiet
time in respect to all guests staying with us. The front door will be locked at
this time for security reasons.
- Please be advised that Ladore Conference Center
does not provide 24-hour emergency medical care. Each group is responsible for
having qualified medical staff for its needs. You must provide staff currently
certified in CPR. If your group includes youth, you must also provide staff
trained in first aid.
- The group leader is responsible for the collection
of pertinent medical information for any group using Ladore Conference Center
facilities. This includes: emergency contact information for all participants;
knowledge of any known allergies or medical conditions requiring medication or
treatment; signed Consent to Treat forms for all persons under 18 years of age.
- In the event of emergencies please contact the
Front Desk in the Main Lodge. For emergencies after office hours, our Resident
Host lives on the second floor of the Lodge, in the primary hallway just beyond
the lobby stairway. A large sign is on the door, which reads 'Resident Host'.
Please ring the doorbell and remain there until someone responds. For critical
emergencies requiring immediate medical attention, telephones are located in the
front stairwells of both floors, and in the hallways, where you can dial 9-911.
Inform the operator that you are calling from Ladore Lodge, located on south
Street in Waymart, Pennsylvania.
- For those staying in the Retreat Houses, a
telephone for emergency use only is located in the lounge area. You may call the
Resident Host at 488-7043 or extension 1165. For critical emergencies requiring
immediate medical attention dial 9-911. Inform the operator that you are calling
from the Ladore Lodge Annex, located on South Street in Waymart, Pennsylvania.
- The Salvation Army carries appropriate liability
insurance for the operation of Ladore. However, we must inform you that all
medical bills incurred during your stay here due to injury or sickness will not
be the responsibility of The Salvation Army. All medical expenses will be a
personal or agency responsibility.
- The closest hospital to Ladore is located in
Carbondale. It is the Marian Community Hospital located at 100 Lincoln Avenue in
Carbondale. The telephone number is (570) 281-1000. The emergency department
telephone number is (570) 281-1030. You are responsible for transportation of
non-emergency patients. The emergency medical system will transport all
emergency patients.
- Event leaders will receive appropriate
orientation upon arrival.
- Ladore Camp and Conference Center reserves the
right to terminate your reservation or retreat if these policies are violated.
